About
Jacopo Ducato Ruggeri is a Swiss-based architect and garden designer blending ecological intelligence with cultural storytelling. Italian-born and shaped by formative years in Beijing, his practice spans site-specific design, strategic consultation, and public engagement—exploring memory, identity, and environmental resilience. His approach is driven by an irreverent view of the kinship between people and nature, and by the subtle feedback loops between soil and plant. In 2025 Jacopo founded his boutique studio, working between Switzerland, the UK, China, and the US.
Young, international, and culturally attuned, the practice brings a global perspective to projects that unite narrative, place, and ecological sophistication. Current work includes The Dune Garden — the first of its kind at the RHS Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse featured by the BBC on Gardeners’ World in an interview with Jacopo. The project received widespread acclaim from the RHS and the media, earning
a prestigious Silver-Gilt medal.
